Staggered throughout the three spring months of 2021, Bendigo Bloom will be offering showcase events for the family and adults to enjoy.
The City of Greater Bendigo is set to flourish with its annual festival, Bendigo Bloom, to celebrate Spring with a mixture of wine, heritage, arts and outdoor experiences.
Across the stunning goldrush region from September to November, there will be a selection of more than 20 cultural and outdoor events that have been designed to be enjoyed in-person and virtually, including the tulip blossom, a stunning collection of over 50,000 tulips coming into full bloom.

Showcasing eight hallmark events as well as many smaller quirkier themed events, Bendigo Bloom is the perfect excuse for a spring getaway for regional Victorians and metro Melbourians – should it be permitted. From the family-friendly Augmented Reality Tulip Hunt to wine experiences such as Bendigo Uncorked Week – there is something for everyone.
The main attraction is of course the tulips, which bloom from mid-September until early October along Pall Mall and the Conservatory Gardens. The entire collection of tulips can be visited in person, while you’ll also be able to tune into the wonderfully calming Tulip live cam.
While tulips aren’t for everyone, other key events include Djaara Lights, a new, first-time activation experience that will ignite on Saturday, November 6. The stunning and immersive light show aims to bring land and culture back into the Bendigo region through the display of spectacular luminescent Aboriginal artwork creating a new Bendigo precinct with augmented reality experiences integrated throughout.
There will also be a Summer in the Parks edition, which will see everything from music to movies take over Bendigo’s iconic parks in late September; the famed ‘Uncorked’ festival, a ten-day celebration of Bendigo’s wine region, featuring bold reds and Mediterranean-style vintages across a series of venues throughout the city; Open House Bendigo which showcases Bendigo’s heritage buildings and modern architecture and provides a public platform for celebrating quality and purposeful design in the City of Greater Bendigo, the Apiam Bendigo Cup for avid racegoers, and the the Brett Whiteley: Drawing is Everything exhibition, which showcases Whiteley’s exceptional talent for drawing.
As part of the celebration, Bendigo On The Hop will be one to get to. Renowned as one of Australia’s best winter beer festivals, indie brewers from all over the country will be coming to regional Victoria to showcase their beers to enthusiasts in a range of unique venues in the centre of Bendigo.
In addition to Bendigo Bloom’s showcase events, more intimate experiences will also be available to visitors throughout the campaign each with unique and quirky angles – under the banner of three categories – colour, nature, nurture – there are events suitable for all. This includes an arts trail across the Loddon Valley region, Pinot and Picasso workshops, an augmented reality Tulip hunt, free Tai Chi classes, and a two hour Dispensary Gin Experience.
