Naarm/Melbourne-based based quintet are hitting the Bridge Hotel, Castlemaine in support of their debut single ‘Until You’re Gone’, a slow-burning and cacophonous ode to a short lived love. Formed in 2022 at a spur of the moment jam session in an old factory in Melbourne’s inner north, Mood Spill is composed of Tom Riccioni, Adrian Verna, Bailey Brown, Georgia-Grace Buckingham and Oli Morley-Sattler. Their songs are meticulously crafted yet flow and breathe like rivers and trees. The band’s dynamic and cathartic live performances have left audiences from Melbourne to the Blue Mountains buzzing with emotion; their mercurial live sets awash with lush vocal harmonies, emotive songwriting, and confident and understated musicianship.
On the back of winning Melbourne label Pieater’s Pie School Songwriting Competition in 2022 (Big Scary, #1 Dads, Maple Glider), appearing at festivals such as Katoomba Winter Magic Festival and Tannamon Valley Music Festival in NSW, and packing out their debut Melbourne show at the iconic Cherry Bar, Mood Spill are ready to welcome people into their world.
