Miss Quincy Lock in Regional Dates

It’s time to erect the chicken wire because Canadian bluesy, boozy rock’n’roller Miss Quincy is coming back to town for a second round, where she’ll be backed by her red hot rhythm section. She’s actually been in our neck of the woods for a little bit now, having played at Geelong’s Motor City Music Festival across the Labour Day weekend, but things are heating up. And it’s heating up thanks to new single ‘Remind Me of Myself’.

Now, back in 2014, Miss Quincy released Roadside Recovery. Her third overall, it was the first to feature a full band in The Showdown. We were lucky enough to spend a little time with Miss Quincy recently and asked her how having a band has shifted the dynamic: “The Showdown was formed a few years before Roadside Recovery was released. We toured for about two years continuously all over the world as the songs for the album were written and road tested. It was a very organic process – we were three girls living the rock ‘n’ roll life we were singing about … We’ve evolved as a band since the release of Roadside Recovery.”
