Mia Dyson Locks in Hepburn Springs Show

Right Here is the forthcoming new EP from Mia Dyson, due for release February 12. The new handful of songs is the followup to 2014’s Idyllwild, which took out the J Award for Double J Artist of the Year.

Currently residing in L.A., Mia took to East Nashville with Joe Pisapia (KD Lang, Ben Folds Five) to record the fivetrack EP which dips its toe in the waters of teenage rebellion. For those unfamiliar with the story, the EP was penned over the course of 18 months with her husband, after Dyson was inspired by a piece of her partner’s poetry. They even compared notes of their teenage delinquency, which gave rise to the track ‘Tearing up the Lawn’.

Mia: “This will be my first headline tour in more than a year at home so I’m really excited to be returning, especially with some new songs in tow which I’m super proud of. Tearing up the Lawn got an amazing response when we dropped it for the Waifs shows last year and I can’t wait for everyone to hear the rest of the EP.”

Old Hepburn Hotel, Hepburn Springs – March 11. Mia will also be appearing at the Port Fairy Folk Festival.
