Designed by ITN Architects, FoMo’s purpose-built complex is a visual feast, serving as a gateway to the cinematic worlds waiting on screen. The Blade Runner-inspired foyer bar, adorned with neon artworks and retro-futurist styling, transports visitors to a cinematic utopia.

The complex boasts six cinemas with high-quality projection and immersive sound design, two of which are 3D-capable. The largest auditorium, seating 114, offers 4K laser resolution on a screen over 10 meters wide. Yet, despite the premium viewing experience, FoMo remains accessible with ticket prices comparable to standard cinema rates.

Co-founder Barry Peak expresses his excitement, “Natalie and I have wanted to run a cinema that combines a movie with a meal for a long time. When I’m in the US I love going to the Nighthawk, Alamo and Syndicated cinemas with their no-fuss dining at standard prices. Cinemas run for movie lovers by movie lovers. Like us.

“Finally, technology allows that here, and FoMo is the result. Don’t miss the great pre-shows created by Ben Crocker, or the delicious diner food of our chef Darren Collier. PS: There’s no obligation to eat anything, but you’d be crazy to miss out.”

Head Chef Darren Collier has curated a delectable menu, ensuring a perfect blend of cinema fare with an authentic twist. From antipasto platters to New York-inspired deli sandwiches, deluxe burger combos to hand-stretched pizzas – FoMo’s cinema cuisine is designed to elevate your movie-watching experience. All dishes are crafted for mid-film enjoyment, with a focus on flavour and authenticity.

Forget the hassle of phones or flagging down waiters; FoMo’s streamlined system allows patrons to order food and drinks directly from their cinema chairs. The cinema’s foyer bar also offers a range of local beers, specialty cocktails, traditional cinema snacks, and ethically sourced treats.

Screening a mix of Hollywood blockbusters, international releases, and classic favourites, FoMo’s opening weeks include must-watch titles such as Mean Girls: The Musical, The Holdovers, Ferrari, The Beekeeper, The Iron Claw, and Priscilla.

Situated in East Brunswick Village’s Bluestone Way, FoMo Cinemas is surrounded by boutique vendors, including the relocated Rumi and Bridge Road Brewers’ first-ever Melbourne brewery venue. Your next date night has never looked so good!
