Pinchy's will be at Austin's from November 2023 for a three month residency.

Get ready for a taste of luxury as Melbourne’s famous lobster roll destination, Pinchy’s seafood restaurant and champagne bar, makes its way to Geelong.

With November and December bookings now open at Austin’s Wine, this three-month pop-up residency promises to bring a sumptuous seafood experience to the heart of Geelong.

Keep up with the latest food and booze news across the region here.

The culinary masterminds behind Pinchy’s are husband and wife duo Jeremy and Samara. Their Bourke Street restaurant, established in 2019, quickly gained popularity for serving Melbourne’s favourite lobster rolls. The idea for Pinchy’s was born during a delightful dinner in San Sebastian, Spain, where many sun-kissed long lunches with good wine and great friends fueled their inspiration.

Renowned for its exquisite seafood offerings, Pinchy’s combines the opulence of lobster and champagne with a vibrant neon-pink setting in the heart of Melbourne. The restaurant boasts a 100-square-meter open-air balcony with street views, while the interior is bathed in a warm pink glow, featuring velvet booths and tables that can accommodate up to 75 guests. Two separate bars provide a choice of cocktails, craft brews, and non-alcoholic options, or indulgent French champagne, local sparkling wines, and Italian prosecco. The menu is predominantly composed of delectable small plates, with seafood and vegan options.

Now, for those in Geelong who haven’t had the chance to explore Melbourne’s dining scene, Pinchy’s is set to be an absolute delight. The lobster haven will take over Austin’s Wine’s new drinking destinations, located on the family-owned vineyard in Sutherlands Creek. While the seafood and vegan menu is still under wraps, bookings for November lunches are now open.

The experience promises to be simple and delightful: order your food, grab a glass of wine, find your table or throw down a rug, and let your weekend unfold in style. Austin’s Wines offers a variety of indoor seating and outdoor space, with one of the property’s original shearing sheds transformed into a state-of-the-art facility. The space features an original ceiling and a spacious bar area for wine tastings, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. With elegant decor and thoughtful details throughout, including the use of terracotta tiles in the bathrooms, representing the Moorabool Valley’s rich terroir, Austin’s Wine is a sleek space from the inside out.

Don’t miss the chance to indulge in Pinchy’s delectable lobster rolls and other culinary delights in Geelong. Book your spot today at Austin’s Wine.
