Basils Farm are hosting a lunch as part of Melbourne Food & Wine Festival

Located in the beautiful shores of Swan Bay in the Bellarine Peninsula, Basils Farm is a winery/farm seriously passionate about biodynamics and specialise in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Shiraz – our favourite kind of grapes!
Passionate about all things wine, Basils Farm is now looking forward to welcoming guests to their “Many Hands Bellarine Seaside Alfresco Lunch” as part of the 2018 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival (MFWF) on Sunday 18th March.
This will be the third year in a row Basils Farm has been privileged to be included in the MFWF Program, a true reflection on the quality and their passion for food and wine in Victoria.
The lunch, which is been guided by the theme ‘Community’ features seasonal grazing platters, followed by a shared banquet of local delights, including Raven’s Creek Pork, Bannockburn Free range Chicken, and Basils sides from the garden. Dishes are then matched to Basils Farm wild fermented wines, further offering a lunch with community at its heart.
“Whether it’s our own produce grown from seedlings from The Paddock (Encompass), planted by a local farm management student, our food and wine has a connection to the local community,” Basils Farm general manager Kim Dema says. “It’s a local loop, with sustainability at its heart, where you know who grows the produce or makes the product”.
Guests are also invited to enjoy a wine tasting and a guided tour through the garden, whilst they take in the spectacular views across Swan Bay.
Talented local musician Imogen Brough will also be performing between 12.30pm-3.30pm.
When & Where: Sunday 18th March from 11.30-3.30pm
