Like old friends reuniting after many years, U2 returned the stage with our favourite Sunday Bloody Sunday. We sung and remembered that it was easier to dance to the first time round.
The passion and fire as strong as ever; communicating the social justice message as intrinsically U2 as Bono’s glasses & The Edge’s beanie.
Lulled to reminiscence by the B side set, then snapped to attention like Willy Wonka’s ride through the tunnel; this desperation to connect to a new generation and reignite the passion of the previous, was felt through the familiar political agenda set to the glam rock we know and love.
Heroes were celebrated, the minority were elevated and just like the Joshua Tree, U2 have once again delivered hope and faith in love to a dry and arid world.
