After six years of producing the finest of surf rock-pop sounds, Loon Lake are calling it a day. The band announced the news to fans via social media.
“There is no fall out, no drama here, It’s just over and it was fun while it lasted. We are very, very proud of what we have achieved over the last 6 years, to be honest, we never really set out to achieve anything except have a bit of fun, but even in our wildest dreams, we couldn’t imagine it would be this fun.
“Loon Lake isn’t breaking up, we are just winding up. We are all still best mates and that wont change. Our reasons are simply that we feel like we may have run our course, we probably won’t ever be much more than we are and with everyone doing different things, living in different places, it’s pretty hard to keep it going. “
The news is better sweet as the band also announced a final tour and have released a few new tracks (with an album also on the way). While they won’t be playing around the traps, their music will live on forever (that’s probably as corny as Forte has ever got).
