Remember school camp? Yeah, well re-imagine it. With no teachers, no noise limits and all the treats you can muster in a full-on rock extravaganza featuring a power line up of Melbourne-based Australian-touring bands Hideous Sun Demon and Dr Sure’s Unusual Practise and Lemonbait, supported by DJ Naomy on decks. A night to bound down the hallways, jump on the bunk beds (maybe not literally) and top up the live music medicine we’ve all needed since iso.
For those friends not from these parts thinking it’s all just a cute theme, yeah, nah it’s not. Southcombe Lodge is literally the site where Port Fairy and Warrnambool school kids have camped for decades. It’s an ‘80s haven of stone walls, bunk beds and vinyl couches and now we’re adding the rock bands.
