Loch Hart Music Festival announce first-ever sideshow festival, Live Music at the Port Campbell Hotel

Missed out on Loch Hart Music Festival earlier this year? Can't wait until November? Catching the festival's first-ever sideshow is the next best thing.

Created as an opportunity to showcase local up-and-coming Australian talent and the very aesthetically pleasing Great Ocean Road (and all its treasures), Loch Hart Music Festival has quickly become the one of Victoria’s best boutique festivals over the last couple of years.

Having just delivered a magical first edition in two years back in January, and announcing its return to November this year, the festival has now announced its first-ever sideshow.

Gifting music lovers a taste of the grassroots event ahead of its summer event, Loch Hart is bringing ‘Live Music at the Port Campbell Hotel’ to the heart of Port Campbell on Saturday, May 21 where the vibe will be chill, the music will be infectious and the scenery will inspire.

Leading the pack of Loch Hart’s tantalising sideshow is post-punk outfit Pinch Points, who soon after their debut album were hailed as ‘the sharpest new band in the country’ and won Music Victoria’s Best Breakthrough Act of 2020. They have recently released their second album and are about to head off on a huge European Tour so this will be a chance for music lovers to see them before they go.

Joining Pinch Points, the mini-festival will also see feature psych-surf with infectious pop hooks from Hobsons Bay Coast Guard and the warm, mellow guitar strums from local legend Flynn Gurry, while Ballarat DJ duo Sweat Dreams will lift the tempo as their house, Balearic house and deep dark disco tracks reverberate throughout crowd.

Creating a reputation as a festival all the elements that punters desire, it was a pretty simple but important remit that inspired the creation of Loch Hart Music Festival – to bring people together – and what better way to emulate that then with an awesome sideshow with an epic lineup?

Tickets are available online for $25 or on the door for $30 unless sold out prior. Purchase here.

Live Music at the Port Cambell Hotel goes down from 6:30pm on Saturday, May 21. Check out the Facebook event here for updates and more information.

This event is part of On the Road Again, a Victorian Government initiative to bring live music back across the state.
