Hold//Fire snagged the coveted opening act position after an ingenious ‘local support’ call-out campaign that resonated with fans far and wide. The band took to social media, rallying Geelong and surrounding areas for suggestions on the perfect supporting act. The response was overwhelming, and Hold//Fire emerged triumphant, ready to set the stage on fire.

The Butterfly Effect, led by the charismatic Clint Boge, is making a triumphant return to Geelong after more than a decade. With a discography that includes hits like ‘Begins Here,’ ‘Imago,’ and ‘Final Conversation of Kings,’ The Butterfly Effect promises a night of emotionally charged, dark, melodic, and energetic hard rock. Geelong fans are in for a nostalgic treat as the band takes the stage to showcase their enduring appeal.

This special headline show is a precursor to The Butterfly Effect’s headlining performance at the Froth and Fury Festival in Adelaide. With just around 80 tickets left, local music enthusiasts are encouraged to secure their spots for a night that promises to be a rocking celebration of homegrown talent.

Turning to the local act, Hold//Fire has been making waves since the release of their second album, ‘Daydreamer,’ in 2022. The album, featuring a blend of soaring choruses and dark melodies, showcases the band’s evolution towards a lighter, more cinematic sound. Hold//Fire’s emotional lyricism, coupled with elements of heavy rock and punk, promises an unforgettable live experience.

The band also had their single, ‘Divisions,’ featured on ‘Short / Fast / Loud.’ Their journey included gigs in Melbourne, Torquay, and even venturing to Tasmania, sharing the stage with the likes of Spiderbait and the Jungle Giants at the Wanderer Festival Pambula Beach.

Hold//Fire’s inclusion in The Butterfly Effect gig is a testament to their growing popularity and musical prowess.

Looking ahead, Hold//Fire has plans to release a couple of singles next year and is scheduled to play a summer show at Port Campbell Pub on Friday, January 26.
