Brave the cold and raise a pint to this local venue.

You might already know The Hop Inn as one of the go-to place for a cheeky hot wing deal or huge takeaway parmigiana for those out Mount Duneed/Armstrong Creek way, but they’ve also long been huge supporters on the local live music scene, regularly hosting acoustic performances over summer. And now with after a short break, they’ve brought it back, announcing an absolutely packed roster of local talent for the winter months.

Keep up with the latest food and booze news via our website.

You’ll be able to enjoy live music three times a week, with live music scheduled across Friday, Saturday and Sunday inside the glorious watering hole. Performers include all the local favourites, including Justin Keenan, Georgia Rodgers, Ben Dew, Riley E Catherall, John Henderson and Isabella Khalife, among many others.

The wondrous live musos will take to the mic from 6pm on Friday and Saturday nights, and 1pm on Sundays.

While the live music is enough to get you there, it’s their huge, new heated marquee that will keep you there over the coming winter months.

The legends at The Hop Inn have ‘winterised’ their cosy outdoor space with a brightly-lit marquee complete with fire pits, gas heaters to keep you safe, sheltered and extra warm as the icy wind picks up down the Coast. With a great vibe that’s a big hit in summer, you can now enjoy the fresh food and fine ales that the pub has to offer both inside and out without compromising on comfort.

And the best part of all, is that it’s dog-friendly, so no need to leave Brutus at home when heading out for a pint and pizza.

As for what exactly you could be drinking, as the name suggests The Hop Inn has a strong focus on quality beer, guaranteed to further warm up those insides. They have 10 taps including their very own Hop XPA, Gage Roads Single Fin and Little Dove along with a rotating tap from local mates at Bells Beach Brewing Co.

They also spoil our craft beer fans with a tap dedicated to rotating through the unique limited releases from Deeds Brewing Co. and are amazingly the only venue in the region to pour most of these extraordinary beers.

Alongside the golden brews on tap, they also have an extensive range in the fridge changing with the seasons and you are a certainty to find a beer that floats your boat. The range covers the full spectrum of beer styles from pales to sours, IPA’s to wintery Porter’s & Stouts featuring beers from Fury & Son, Tallboy & Moose, Bodriggy, Fixation, Mismatch and many more.

Add to this an awesome selection of cocktails, ciders, wines, ginger beers and Seltzers and they’ve got the whole gang covered this winter.

With a heated outdoor area, live music and a brilliant selection of brews, this cosy pub is a must for a relaxing afternoon with your loved ones.
