Thanks for chatting with me today! Can you introduce yourself?
I use the name ‘ELDAFYRE’ for all my music and art I create. A friend I used to smoke with asked me when I was around 20 years old (15 years ago). “What would you call yourself if you ever became famous?”. I used to play from a tenor recorder named Alder and his element was fire. So I combined them together and it stuck. Now I live in Melbourne. But travel Australia mostly to sing to the dessert creatures. From a street EX cube amplifier charged with eight AA batteries. I write music to the people who don’t usually have music written for them. I want my music to be so original that I’d hope my fans are so few. Only in the last year, after writing this new album, I feel comfortable performing it to people.
You’re stuck on a desert island with a CD player and you’re only allowed one CD, what would it be?

Describe your current EP.
My current EP is seven songs. The album has come very dear to me, along with an interesting story. I wrote the entire album in one evening – every song came after the next. I recorded the whole thing on an iPad. So I had the crappy recording mastered. I loved it that much. So I called it ‘Raw’. It’s about love, hate, regret, desire, emotions and jealousy. But also kindness, giving, solitude and adventure.
If you could share the stage with one artist, who would it be and why?
Sixto Rodriguez; such a unique and long standing sound. Can still listen to it today quite contently. No other artist I have listened to for such a time.
