Line up the Jägerbombs, Home House has unveiled a ripper lineup for Labour Day long weekend

Victorians are getting a three-day weekend this Labour Day, and in true long weekend spirit, good old Geelong's turning it on with tons of great things to do.

Being our only public holiday this month, it’s one you definitely want to make the most of. Thankfully, between the Friday night knock-offs, the epic Sunday sessions, and the Monday recovery parties, there’s no shortage of good times to keep you well entertained around town.

One venue we’ve got our eyes on are mainstays in the Geelong club scene, Home House, who will be celebrating the long weekend the only way they know how – with late nights and a serious lineup. Backing it up with a Saturday and Sunday event, there’s no real reason to ever leave this popular club – except, you know, making space for the cleaners.

The key takeaways

  • Home House are celebrating the long weekend with two huge events
  • The club will feature the likes of Teddy Cream and Brynny across two nights
  • Tickets will be available at the door from 9:30pm for both events

Keep up with the latest festival news via our website.

First up, Saturday night will see the return of Melbourne DJ duo Teddy Cream.

Consisting of Brandon Mangion and Vincent Calderone, two lifelong friends who began producing together at 13, touring at 18, and dominating dance music not long after, you can trust these guys will set the dancefloor on fire this weekend – just watch this video of them dropping the High School Musical theme to a rapturous crowd to see what we mean.

Whatever the song, whatever the genre, their music is made to party to. In 2017, their reworks of Sonia Dada’s ‘Lover’ and Daryl Braithwaite’s hit ‘Horses’ climbed the ARIA Club Charts and Spotify Viral Chart, and ever since they’ve been surfing the wave of success with a slew of dance-ready tracks.

All up, these party-starters have over 11 million streams to their name, including over four million Spotify streams on ‘Summer Jam’ alone (huge!), plus backing from Madison Mars, Plastik Funk, DJ Dark, Astero, Dino Del Moro, Pat Benedetti, and more. At any given show you could hear the pair work through Venga Boys, Metallica, Neil Diamond or Green Day… or maybe even all four in the same set.

A force to be reckoned with in the dance music landscape, expect a set of wild, pumping electronic baselines that make you wanna dance. They’ll be supported by Leash, De Munari, Cowman and Say Singh!, plus Home House’s DJ Residents OJ Toprak, Lil’T, Took, AJ Sergio, Steve Camp and Jarrod Withers.

Once the sun rises and you make a quick trip home to change your clothes and replenish the esky, Home House is keeping the ball rolling with the huge Sunday night with Brynny.

An important fixture on the Melbourne Bounce scene, Brynny has earned himself a solid reputation for his signature kiss bass style, gathering fans across the spectrum with his more mid-tempo, glitch hop, dubstep and ‘complextro’ inspired productions.

Hailing from Mornington Peninsula, his melody-driven bounce bootlegs and originals have become legendary dance floor weapons in the past few years. With more than 40 million plays across all social media platforms, It really is easy to see why the likes of Will Sparks, Timmy Trumpet, Mashd N Kutcher and Tyron Hapi call themselves fans of his work.

Brynny will be supported by Bailey Murray, Leash, Cowman and a Vs. Set between De Munari & Say Singh!, alongside Home House’s aforementioned resident DJs.

Go on, it’d be rude not to celebrate the long weekend.

Tickets will be available at the door from 9:30pm for both events. Home House is located at 40-42 Moorabool St, Geelong.
