Lime Cordiale bring touring festival The Squeeze to Geelong for a day on the green in 2022

The a day on the green show in Geelong is the only Squeeze show in Victoria. 

Prepare your picnic blanket Geelong, ARIA Award winners for Best Live Act Lime Cordiale have rallied together some of their most talented mates for the return of their annual travelling-music festival, The Squeeze.

Fresh from releasing their newest single ‘What’s Not To Like’ alongside Idris Elba, brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach have this time joined forces with a day on the green and Roundhouse Entertainment to take The Squeeze to three incredible wineries around the country – including Mt Duneed Estate in Geelong for the tours only Victorian date on Saturday, April 16. 

Alongside the a day on the green events with also include Peter Lehmann Wines, Barossa Valley on April 10 and Heifer Station, Orange on April 24, The Squeeze will also take to nine other stages in WA, SA, NSW and QLD.

Lime Cordiale will headline at each show alongside a stellar line-up of Australian talent, including Thelma Plum, Client Liaison, The VANNS, Melbourne’s Teenage Dads and merci, mercy from Sydney, plus many more in what will be the biggest Squeeze Festival to date. 

Having taken the festival on the road twice before, the day-long festival programmed by Lime Cordiale themselves was created to help share the spotlight with some of their favourite Aussie artists. Each year it features the bands and artists that they would want to see at a festival. 

 It’s crazy to think how The Squeeze has grown from an indoor event to a major outdoor national festival for its third year,” Lime Cordiale says. 

“After the industry has been hit so hard it’s a great feeling to know that we’re pulling this off. We share a great vision with Chugg Music to be able to achieve something more than just making records. This project is for the music industry and the hungry music lovers. 

“The line-up has been handpicked by us and something that we’d jump at buying tickets to see. 

“Rural festivals are just more fun and go that little bit harder!”

Roundhouse Entertainment Promoter, Michael Newton, said he was thrilled to have Lime Cordiale join the a day on the green family.

“We’ve been putting on shows since the Lime Cordiale boys were just kids, but our main ethos has always been about supporting Australian talent, new and established,” says Roundhouse Entertainment Promoter, Michael Newton.

“The Squeeze is the best of both worlds – people who love Lime Cordiale can come and enjoy their music and the a day on the green experience – as well as the other acts on the bill handpicked by Louis and Oli. It’s a win-win for everyone. There’s no better place to enjoy a whole day of live music than at a day on the green.”

With a desire to showcase musicians that are more than just hype and hold an event that has more than just music, Lime Cordiale have partnered with FEAT. Live on the festival to contribute a Solar Slice of $1.00 from each ticket sold, which will go towards helping reduce carbon emissions and waste generated by live events with the aim of maximising positive environmental outcomes.

With great music and numerous locations, 2022 will firmly stamp The Squeeze as a mainstay on the Australian festival calendar.

The Squeeze will take to Mt Duneed Estate, Geelong on Saturday 16 April 2022. Tickets for all shows go on sale on Friday 3 December at 12pm AEDT. You can find out more here
