In the wake of Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister’s recent passing, rock and roll greats have paid tribute in a memorial service in Los Angeles on Sunday January 10.
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl spoke at the service among other notable musicians, describing Kilmister as “my hero…the one true rock ‘n’ roller, but also someone who set such a great example because he was so kind to everyone”. Guns ‘n’ Roses guitarist Slash also stated that “his music and personality will last forever”.
Lemmy Kilmister passed away on December 28, 2015 at his home in Los Angeles to cancer.
