LANKS announces Geelong’s bold and humble artist Janeva as support for his Melbourne shows

Following the announcement of his national tour this August, multi-instrumentalist LANKS announces the supports for his tour – including Geelong’s own Sweetheart Janeva for his hometown gig on August 26 at Northcote Social Club.

Janeva made her solo debut this year with a punchy and captivating anthem that’s got people talking and is already making waves this year using her hard-working and ambitious drive in the music industry – recently signing a Global Publishing deal with Sony/ATV Australia.

She’s worked alongside other producers such as London Topaz, LDRU and Dugong Jr and made a conscious decision to release a single this year as an independent artist, with her eclectic new tune You & I and straight away earned recognition from the team behind triple J Unearthed with Dom Alessio premiering it on Home & Hosed.

Janeva will also be joined by Saatsuma to support LANKS Melbourne show.

Other supports include Sydney indie-pop artist, ELKI and singer/producer Mark Harding for LANKS performance at Leadbelly in Newtown on Saturday August 19, electronic indie-rock outfit Machine Age in Brisbane on August 25 and local songstress Inigo, and local singer-songwriter Teischa in Perth.

This announcement also comes with the accompanying live video for new single ‘Comfortable.’ A stunning and vulnerable portrayal of LANKS live in action, the piece is filmed and edited by cinematographer Justin Carrig. Recorded live at the Hawthorn Arts Centre in Melbourne earlier this year and showcasing the town hall’s Steinway full grand piano, the video for ‘Comfortable’ features flawless audio recorded and mixed by Glen Nichol and Chris Rogers.
