Brace yourselves, ya filthy animals – King Parrot is back, and they’ve just scraped a feral new single off the cutting room floor. It’s called Get What Ya Given, and let’s just say… they’re not in a cuddly mood.
This new track is pure, unfiltered King Parrot: savage, chaotic, and loud enough to sand the paint off your walls. It digs deep into grindcore and power-violence territory, but with that classic King Parrot twist – unhinged energy, tongue-in-cheek rage, and absolutely no mercy.
It’s the latest taste from their upcoming full-length A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot, landing June 6, and if this single’s anything to go by, the rest of the album is gonna be a sonic punch to the throat.

And the timing? Couldn’t be more perfect. King Parrot is kicking off their Aussie album launch tour this weekend, starting with shows in Warrnambool and Bendigo. Expect chaos. Expect volume. Expect beer flying, necks snapping, and a crowd of sweaty maniacs screaming every word.
This is their first full album in five years – yep, since 2017’s Ugly Produce made the critics swoon and the punters lose their minds. Recorded at Melbourne’s Dangertone Studios with Luke Walton behind the desk, this ten-track monster is loaded with precision-cut noise and high-grade fury. It’s also their first new material since 2020’s Holed Up In The Lair EP – and yeah, the wait has been worth it.
If you thought King Parrot had mellowed out, think again. A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot isn’t here to educate – it’s here to obliterate.
