King of the Castle awarded best unlicensed cafe at the Golden Plate Awards

For those living in Geelong, King of the Castle is known as one of the most popular spots on Pakington Street, and the cafe just got an accolade to reinforce the thought.

After winning the best unlicensed cafe award in the Geelong-Otways stint of the Golden Plate awards, King of the Castle have gone on to win the same award at the state level – for the second time.

King of the Castle is owned and operated by Robbie Lecchino, who recently opened a Barwon Heads break-off of King of the Castle in a caravan.

He also attended the event with fellow local nominees, Saint Regis and Vue Grand Hotel. You can see a full list of the Geelong-Otway Golden Plate winners here. Congrats from Forte to all nominees!
