Fresh off of a 55-date tour which saw her take to regional centres including Castlemaine, Kate Miller-Heidke returns to the road.
So much more than a judge of Channel 7’s The Voice, Kate Miller-Heidke is a storyteller with an unparallel history in music, opera and theatre. Across pop and folk chorus’, the songwriter weaves tales of tragedy, humour, pain, love and life into her songs, all of which will be on display during her February and March 2025 The Telling Tales Tour.
Taking to capital centres and selected regional theatres including City Recital Hall in Sydney, Empire Theatre in Toowoomba, QPAC Concert Hall Brisbane, Anita’s Theatre Thirroul, Newcastle Civic Theatre, Melbourne’s Hamer Hall, Ulumbarra Theatre Bendigo, Queens Park Theatre in Geraldton and His Majesty’s Theatre in Perth, Miller-Heidke will explore her rich catalogue of tales, old and new.

Kate Miller-Heidke is an award-winning singer-songwriter with a stack of acclaim to her name. She has performed on stages as varied as Coachella, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, the New York Metropolitan Opera, the Eurovision Song Contest, the Sydney Opera House, the Roebuck Bay Hotel in Broome, and the aforementioned TV’s The Voice. But what makes Miller-Heidke so special in the songwriter sphere is her ability to capture, consume and captivate her audience through her powerful lyrics and stunning vocal delivery.
She is also a born storyteller. Her music is influenced by the narrative traditions of folk, the drama of opera, and the great singer-songwriters of pop. She weaves tales of humour and pain, intimacy and grandeur, joy and regret, childhood and ghosts. The last day of school, and the last day on earth. Where joy is zero gravity, and love is like vertigo. With characters who expand within us to live beyond the confines of their four minutes – James being bullied in the school yard. Sarah’s gone missing from the festival. Muriel is just finding out she’s amazing.
The Telling Tales Tour will be a celebration of songs old and brand new, of voice, storytelling, emotion, humour, and music that transports and transcends; of discovering anew each night the transformative connection between the performer and the audience.
Don’t miss this special opportunity to see Kate Miller-Heidke in an intimate, exposed, and revealing performance, accompanied by her long-term collaborator Keir Nuttall on guitar. Further, Kate Miller-Heidke will be joined by special guest Elana Stone at all shows except for WA. Elana Stone is an ARIA award-winning singer, songwriter, pianist, accordionist, podcast maker, and writer of one musical. She is a member of acclaimed folk quartet All Our Exes Live In Texas.
Tickets to the Kate Miller-Heidke The Telling Tales Tour go on sale Friday 20 September with presale through venues and artist from Wednesday 18 September. They can be purchased here.
