This isn’t your typical tale of tutus and tiaras. Josephine is all about doing things her own way—think ballet meets hip-hop with a splash of Aussie bush flair. When the city ballet rolls into town performing Swan Lake, our girl seizes the moment and leaps (literally) at her shot to shine.
Sure, her little brother Joey isn’t totally convinced a kangaroo should be pirouetting across a stage, but Josephine’s got that unbeatable combo of dreams, determination, and individuality—and who’s going to stop a roo on a mission?
Adapted for the stage by Eva Di Cesare, Sandie Eldridge, and Tim McGarry, this musical is a total vibe for families, dance fans, and anyone who’s ever felt a little different but still went for it anyway. It’s silly, sweet, and sneakily inspiring (plus, dancing kangaroo—how can you say no?).
So whether you’re five, fifty, or somewhere in between, bounce your way down to The Story House and catch Josephine in all her dancing glory.
