In early 2013, as a reference to ‘Hollywoodland’, a local artist installed large letters spelling ‘Glassellland’ in the vacant hills above the Glassell Park Recreation Center in Northeast Los Angeles. Pronounced ‘Glas-Hell-Land’, the name serves as the title of Jordie Lane’s first full-length studio album in five years. To celebrate, he’ll be appearing in duo mode at Suttons House of Music, Ballarat on November 5 and Major Tom’s, Kyneton on November 24.
