Jeff Rosenstock Announces Lorne Show

We love it when an artist feels a connection with Australia. Jeff Rosenstock has been out this way on three previous occasions. He also produced The Smith Street Band’s Throw Me in the River.

For both these things we consider him a mate. Next month he returns for a fourth crack, and there are two reasons to be happy. The first of these reasons is his second solo release We Cool?, which upon its release crashed the SideOneDummy website.

Punknews.org gave it a fourstar review, writing: “We Cool? doesn’t really have one set sound to it. It bounces around from garage rock, to folk punk, to power pop, etc. All the 12 songs on this album sound so different individually, yet they go together perfectly to make up this album.”

The other cool piece of news is that Jeff will use the tour to promote Antarctigo Vespucci, his powerpop collaboration with Chris Farren of Fake Problems. What was supposed to be a one-off recording project has now launched two EPs and one fulllength release. This will be Farren’s second time out here, having supported The Gaslight Anthem last year.

Wonky Donkey, Lorne – March 5. Melbourne’s Camp Cope, whose debut album is due in April, will support.
