The Defence Force is bringing exciting career opportunities to regional areas.

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is taking its mission to inspire young Australians on the road with the Mobile ADF Careers Centre (MACC) touring through regional Victoria.

This unique initiative aims to engage with communities in areas like Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Frankston, and the Mornington Peninsula, encouraging young talent to explore over 250 exhilarating roles within the Australian Defence Force.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around the region here.

The MACC is not your typical careers centre; it’s a bus on wheels, bringing career opportunities closer to those in regional and rural areas. Here, young Australians can have meaningful conversations with ADF Careers specialists, explore diverse career paths, and discover what exciting possibilities await them in the Defence Force.

The MACC is scheduled to make its stop in Geelong as follows:

  • Friday, 20th October: Ritchie Boulevard, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Saturday, 21st October: Geelong Showgrounds, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Sunday, 22nd October: Geelong Showgrounds, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Monday, 23rd October: Ritchie Boulevard, 2:30 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Tuesday, 24th October: Ritchie Boulevard, 2:30 pm – 8:00 pm

On Monday, the MACC team is going above and beyond, offering interview coaching and ADF career mentoring from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm, along with a physical fitness assessment practice session from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

Keen? Think you’ve got what it takes? The MACC is inviting anyone with an interest in ADF careers to step on board and gain valuable insights from ADF Careers specialists. This is a unique opportunity to explore the diverse career options available to them and gain an understanding of what life in the Australian Defence Force entails.

The MACC isn’t just about visiting public spaces; it’s also reaching out to schools too. On Monday, 23rd October, the MACC will be at Oberon High School and Matthew Flinders Girls Secondary College, sharing first-hand experiences of life in the ADF and providing valuable information about ADF careers. On Tuesday, 24th October, Geelong Grammar School will have the privilege of hosting the MACC.

The Australian Defence Force is ushering in a new era in careers by making it more accessible and inspiring to the youth in regional and rural areas.
