Get the mugs and marshmallows ready: the annual Hot Chocolate Festival returns to the Yarra Valley, Great Ocean Road and Mornington Peninsula this month.
Running for the entire month of August from today, 1 August until 31 August 2024, the annual Hot Chocolate Festival is firing up again around Victoria.

Taking place at the Neapolitan trio of the Willa Wonka Chocolate Factory of Victoria at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Icecreamery, Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie and Icecreamery and Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie and Icecreamery, the Hot Chocolate Festival features a decadent weekly menu of hot chocolates combinations and pairings, featuring boozy truffles, churros and exploding balls to melting discs and torches donuts. And of course this humble fluff ball of the marshmallow for dipping!
Week one’s menu including concoctions such as Fondue Fiesta, Bush Koala, Peanut Butter Brownie Cup, Egg & Spoon Race and Biscoff French Toast, you’ll want to return every week to try all 31 flavours! Check here for the weekly menu.
In addition to the delicious hot chocolate purchases, each site will be hosting Tasting Sessions. These immersive sessions take your Hot Chocolate Festival experience to hot new heights – get sipping and slurping with the Chocolatiers in 45 minute sessions to sample eight different flavours and make three of your own hot chocolate creations to take home. At $28 per person, it is well worth it for the rich experience. Held on select dates and times throughout our Hot Chocolate Festival, Tasting Sessions always sell out, so bookings are a must!

For those unable to make it to the festivities fear not, the Hot Chocolate Festival can come to you in the comfort of your own home. Perfectly paired with a blanket and Netflix, their DIY Kits are created to take the warmth of the festival home. There’s 16 different festival flavours cleverly transformed into DIY Kits, complete with flavoured couverture chocolate melts, a giant handcrafted marshmallow and an indulgent interactive element – just add your choice of hot milk.
