LIV LOUD 2024 brings gigs to 40 venues across Australia for one good cause.
Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) is once again championing Australia’s vibrant live music scene with the launch of the LIV LOUD 2024 initiative, which aims to bolster local venues and artists throughout November.
With approximately $100,000 in cash grants, CUB will support around 40 venues across the country to host a stellar lineup of performances during Ausmusic Month.

This year’s impressive lineup includes renowned acts like Grinspoon, The Rubens, The Rions and former Red Wiggle Murray Cook’s band, The Soul Movers. CUB’s initiative encourages venues to present live music on off-peak days, providing a much-needed boost for local establishments while offering audiences an array of entertainment options.
“The Soul Movers are super excited to be playing at the Hoey Moey in Coffs Harbour on Sunday, November 17, as part of this fantastic initiative,” says Murray Cook. “Support Act’s work is crucial for our industry, and we’re thrilled to contribute alongside so many great acts.”
CUB Marketing Manager Sarah Wilcox highlighted the initiative’s dual purpose, saying “LIV LOUD helps venues generate foot traffic on quieter nights while also supporting the artists who bring music to life.”
The grants will assist venues in covering expenses such as performer fees and additional staffing, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees. Formats will vary, featuring live music, DJs and trivia nights to cater to diverse audiences.
In addition to supporting local venues, CUB will also donate funds to Support Act, a charity dedicated to providing crisis relief and mental health support for music industry workers.
Support Act’s CEO Clive Miller praised CUB’s continued commitment, stating, “We are delighted that CUB will be presenting its LIV LOUD program again this year. Last year’s success showed just how vital such initiatives are for celebrating Australian music.”
As the nation gears up for an exciting month of live music, Australians are encouraged to show their support through participation and donations to support local talent and industry workers in need.
