Following a successful 2023/24 program, The GRID Series returns to Geelong, with EOI's now open for budding musicians.
Art Geelong have revealed the applications are now open for their 2024/25 round of The GRID Series. An artist development program supporting outer suburban and regional emerging creatives around Australia, the GRID Series bridges the gap between emerging talent in regional areas and the music industry, offering hands-on mentorship, learning and career development for four successful artists/bands.
The 2023/2024 program in Geelong, supported the development of Baraka The Kid, Wild Gloriosa, Ridzyray, Daisy Kilbourne and LENNi which has resulted in great success, boasting the career prospect, networks and outcomes of each artist. Armed with a song at the end of the series, each artist has seen massive industry growth with Baraka The Kid dropping single ‘Anastasia‘ and moving towards a new album set for release at the end of 2024 and Daisy Kilbourne securing a support slot with Dan Sultan in his upcoming Anglesea appearance with the Sound Doctor.
With EOI’s now open, it’s the perfect opportunity for local emerging artists to take the next step in their career.
