Words by Staff Writer

Make no mistake, Torquay Hotel is joining the Ausmusic Month celebrations in a big way!

This weekend has been BIG, BOLD and CONFIDENT for Torquay Hotel, kicking off what is set to be a huge month of live music events for Ausmusic Month. It started Friday night with a set from Bodyjar who blew socks off with their pop punk power and heated up even more with a sold-out sweaty show from all-round entertainers Confidence Man on Saturday 2 November.

As the month progresses, check out all of the incredible artists and bands building the Torquay Hotels live music program for November.

Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

Final tickets are available for tonight’s show!

Me First and The Gimme Gimmes

  • When: Friday 8 November

A supergroup punk mash that defies all definition of a classic cover band, Me First and The Gimme Gimmes are the most infectious rockers to take on tracks from other bands. Their journey to Australia comes in celebration of their latest album ¡Blow It…At Madison’s Quinceañera! and is going to be huge live. They are joined by the self proclaimed ‘last punk band’ Dwarves.

Thelma

Kita Alexandar

TSHA

Coming all the way from the UK, TSHA is set to bring the house down at Torquay Hotel during her mid-month visit. Willaris K

  • When: Saturday 23 November
  • Tickets: Head here.

This Naarm-based producer is on a streak, making 2024 his property. Having just released his debut album Everything Is As It Should Be, with ‘Drama on the Edge’ fast rising, the up-and-comer is winning over crowds and fellow musicians left right and centre. ‘Drama On The Edge’ follows the recent release of the energetic ‘Guard’, emotive ‘I Miss You Now’, dance release ‘Backbackback’ and momentous collaboration with The Presets ‘World Collapsing’, which led to a euphoric jamesjamesjames remix. Willaris. K also recently released track ‘Say’ with Naarm-now-London producer Memphis LK and played Naarm’s Abbotsford Covent, which sold out in just 48 hours. Huge strides!

The Rions

In support of their forthcoming EP Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be which dropped in September, The Rions are hitting the road and making Torquay Hotel one of their drop-ins. Another mighty Australian act who have outdone themselves in 2024, The Rions have already finished 11 x sold out shows and jetted on their first-ever UK and Europe tour (with mates Pacific Avenue). Clocking over 30 million streams worldwide, they’ve built up a legion of loyal fans. It continues on with these shows bound to win over more dedicated members of The Rions tribe.

No Scrubs: 90’s + 00’s Part
