Golden Plains adds final acts to festival lineup for March, announces set times

Aunty Meredith is the cool Aunt that just keeps on giving.

With everything from Bikini Kill to Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever to Methyl Ethel to Jennifer Loveless to Carly Rae Jepsen all sharing one stage, it’s a lineup of wall-to-wall delights. All taking place over the Labor Day long weekend from March 11 to 13, Golden Plains have today revealed their set times and completed the 2023 lineup ahead of the festival.

Taking to the Sup is the Korean-Australian rap collective 1300. Dubbed the boys from outer space, rako, goyo, DALI HART, Nerdie and pokari.sweat. got together at a house party, after years orbiting one another in their Sydney scene. There’s a whole lot coming down the line on their debut full length Foreign Language. Razor-sharp flows, hazily-sung choruses and feverish production – swerving between trap, breaks, and hyperactive dance music. Seamlessly flipping between Korean and English, five personalities beaming in unison. Shimmering, dexterous and downright rambunctious, don’t miss it.

Aunty Meredith has also announced the DJs that will be keeping punters going here, there and everywhere in-between. Opening the cracks and filling the blanks will be Jazz, Billie-Jean, Kalyani, Jas Moore and Milo Eastwood.

Rounding out the final announcement, all the way from Kerritt Barreet, Barry James Gilson will be sharing a story or two about his people, the Wadawurrung.

Golden Plains is one of the most loved events on the Australian festival calendar, it’s always held over three days over the Labour Day long weekend. It’s the beloved festival’s first iteration since 2020 and it’s set to be a stunning return to the amphitheatre.

Golden Plains Festival is held on the family property of one of the festival’s organisers, a farm complete with a Ferris wheel, an Ecoplex Cinema and the extremely popular Pink Flamingo Bar. With only one stage, so no timetable clashes, Golden Plains Festival is known primarily for its great music and great culture – the reason that we love the Melbourne music scene so much in the first place.
