Mark and Joanne’s love story is intertwined with music, and their passion for the sounds of the 1950s and 60s. The couple’s romance blossomed at one of Mark’s Elvis shows back in 2005. Joanne was in the audience with her sister and volunteered to dance onstage, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey.
Their connection deepened through their shared appreciation of Johnny Cash’s music, which Joanne introduced to Mark after watching the movie ‘Walk the Line.’ Mark was immediately drawn to Cash’s iconic tunes, and their idea to create a tribute show was born.
Titled ‘Get Rhythm – The Johnny Cash & June Carter Show,’ the duo’s act showcases the greatest hits of these iconic artists, including classics like “I Walk the Line,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “A Boy Named Sue,” and “Jackson.”
In a heartwarming display of family unity, Mark’s sons Lucas and Chris join the stage, with Lucas on drums and Chris handling the double bass. Mark’s cousin, Adam Prozzo, adds his flair on lead guitar. Working together as performers for sixteen years has strengthened their bond as a couple. Their shared commitment to making people happy has not only deepened their relationship but has also created a magical connection with their audiences.
