Tuck into delicious dumplings and bottomless booze at this retro-inspired modern-Asian hangout.

Geelong’s newest dumpling diner and bar Bahjong has quickly established itself as a go-to dining destination in Geelong since opening its doors, dishing up homemade dumplings and pouring summery Asian-inspired cocktails in Little Malop Street.

With a bunch of different types of homemade dumplings with a traditionally untraditional twist, Bahjong (which takes inspiration from the classic Chinese game ‘Mahjong’) is now bringing an exciting new experience to Geelong’s favourite street with Bottomless Bahjong.

Keep up with the latest food and booze news across the region here.

Happening every Sunday from 12pm for $59 per person, Bottomless Bahjong will get you four serves of dumplings (with four dumplings in each serve) with bottomless drinks in the 1hr 30min sitting.

There’s a minimum of two people to participate, and the more diners you have, the more dumplings you’ll get. So if there are four of you, you’ll get eight serves of dumplings and so on.

As for what’s on the menu, you can choose from a specially curated list of dumplings, including Potato and chive, Curry Beef, Korean Chicken, Pork and Cabbage, Tofu and Cabbage and Chicken Har Gow. Here, it’s not just lonely dumplings served up on a plate either. Instead, each type of dumpling comes with a more lavish touch. For example, the pork and cabbage dumplings are served with sweet soy and onion rings, while the Korean Chicken is served with Gochujang, pickled salad, crispy skin, cornflakes, truly changing the game of dumplings in Geelong.

As for the drinks, this is where the fun begins with your bottomless selection including cocktails, beer, cider and wine. On the cocktail list, there’s Lychee and Berries (made with Vodka, chambord, lychee syrup, prosecco), Blame it on the Sangria (Shiraz, whiskey, brandy, apple and orange juice, triple sec, ginger ale), or a Ginger Fitz (Gin, Yuzu juice, ginger wine, ginger syrup, ginger ale).

There’s also favourites like the Hard Yuzunade, Cheeky Expressi, Mimosa, Grapefruit Margarita and a Passionfruit Daiquiri.

Bottomless Bahjong takes place every Sunday from 12pm.

Bahjong is located at 82 Little Malop Street, Geelong. Book online here
