From the excellent intro track that really sets the tone for the album, to the full-throttle rush of “Uno! Dos! Tres!” this album feels like the soundtrack to an exhilarating high-speed chase or a high energy, pulse-pounding gig at the local Show. The energy on display here is infectious, and it’s clear that this band has a lot of promise.

Right from the start, the opening track grabs your attention with its playful vibe—setting the scene for what’s to come with fuzzed-out guitars, tight rhythms, and a youthful confidence that’s hard to ignore. The lyrics, while wholesome, explore themes of love and life with a charming, straightforward honesty. The B4 Band is just having fun, and that spirit shines through in every track.

How long have you been playing music together? We’ve had such a short but fun time being in a band together! We formed almost a year ago during a sleepover at Lashen’s house. We played a couple of songs just for fun, and it was such a blast that it became a tradition at every meetup. Eventually, we thought, why not post a few clips?—and that small idea grew into the band we are today!

“Uno! Dos! Tres!” is the perfect kickoff, a fast-paced rollercoaster of crunchy riffs and punchy drums that feels like the band’s declaration of intent: they’re here to rock, they’re here to experiment, and they’re not holding back. The song’s blend of fuzzy guitars and well-crafted, sharp riffs gives it a feeling of controlled chaos, like they’re still figuring things out but doing it with style.

Throughout the album, The B4 Band flirts with multiple genres—sometimes punk, sometimes indie, and even dashes of surf rock and rap—and it all comes together in a way that’s both refreshing and raw. There’s a sense of experimentation that keeps things exciting. These are not songs that just sit still—they push and pull at the boundaries of what you expect, while still keeping that teenage spirit at their core. The swagger, the ego, and the passion for music are all on full display here.

What does the future hold? We’re focused on keeping our momentum going, growing our audience, and making a real impact with our music. This year, our biggest goal is to release an EP about being in Year 12—covering everything from late-night study sessions to complicated relationships and just chilling with your mates. This project will be more polished and professional, with high-quality production and songs that truly resonate with teens. We also hope to collaborate with more musicians and talented singers, so stay tuned!

And in a move that surprises yet somehow fits perfectly, the band even throws in a Christmas-themed track. This bit of unexpected whimsy speaks to their creativity and willingness to try anything, making the album feel even more varied and playful. Whether it’s the hook-laden choruses or the well-thought-out breakdowns, each song offers something new, yet familiar, like a soundtrack to those carefree, nostalgic moments of your teenage years.

Why should people listen to The B4 Band? In today’s world, new music drops every second—but we’re something different. We’re a group of real friends making heartfelt music with passion, energy, and authenticity. What truly sets us apart is how we fuse different styles and genres. Charlton brings a pop influence, Lashen is all about J-Pop and Funk, meanwhile, Johan loves rap. The blend of these distinct musical backgrounds creates a unique sound that stands out from the mainstream. Our music offers a refreshing change of pace from what’s popular today.

As a debut, it’s clear The B4 Band still has a long road ahead of them, but they’ve got the ingredients for success. Their passion and confidence leap out of the speakers, and with more refinement, there’s no telling how far they can go. This album is a thrilling start to what promises to be an exciting journey—fun, energetic, and full of potential. If the B4 Band continues to grow and evolve, they could very well be the cool new band everyone’s talking about.

Until then, this debut stands as a bold statement of a band that’s unafraid to have fun, experiment, and pour their heart into their music. The future’s bright, and we’re all invited to tag along for the ride.
