Geelong’s famed Piccadilly Christmas Market returns for 2020

Do all your Christmas shopping at once.

‘Tis the season to go Christmas shopping and thankfully the shitstorm that has been 2020 is not going to rain on the Piccadilly Market’s Christmas Parade.

Consistently serving as our final nudge to get into gear for the past few years, the annual Christmas market is all about supporting the local makers in the region – and after the year that we’ve all had, there’s never been a better time to support local.

Taking to a new location at the Barwon Valley Activity Centre in Belmont, this year’s market will go ahead indoors and undercover over two days – Friday (night), December 11 and Saturday, December 12.

Boasting more than 70 stalls, Geelong’s most talented jewellers, fashion designers, illustrators, artists, food producers, and makers will all be there to provide you with artsy gift ideas for everyone on your Christmas list.

Alongside all the products up for grabs, this year’s market will also see the return of food trucks and live music, making this quite the outing for all.

And let’s be real: this market is also great for maybe picking up a little something for yourself (after you’ve gotten your Christmas list all sorted, of course).

Due to COVID restrictions, only 200 people will be able to enter the market at any one time so you’ll need to book online in 1-hour time slots. We encourage you to arrive 10 – 20 mins before your allocated time so we can scan you in quickly and maximise your shopping time.

You will need to book your entry online and these will become available at 9am on the 4th of December. There is a $3 entry fee for adults, and unfortunately due to the limited numbers, children (under 15) will not be allowed at this year’s event.

So pencil it in your diary, hop in the car, crank up the Bublé and head along to the market this festive season.

The market will run on Friday from 5pm to 9pm, and on Saturday from 9am to 4pm. For more information, visit the website.
