The Eureka Hotel first opened its doors in 1852 as a modest public bar. At that time, it primarily served the parched throats of local traders who arrived from the nearby docks. Little did anyone know that this unassuming establishment would evolve into an integral part of Geelong’s history, enduring for over a century and a half.
In the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, it played host to an array of Australian music pioneers including Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, Screaming Jets, Dragon, Hunters & Collectors and Tame Impala, among countless others. The Eureka Hotel became a hub for musical innovation and creativity, etching its name into Australian music history.

With a brand-new d&b Audiotechnik P.A. system, cutting-edge lighting, and mesmerizing visuals, the Eureka Hotel is set to resurrect live music in the heart of Geelong. There are big acts on the horizon, with announcements to be made very soon.
