Geelong duo Coco Du Ma just dropped a remix of Kid Cudi’s ‘Day ‘N’ Nite’ and it feels like summer

This is one devastating stomping dancefloor epic.

Coco Du Ma. Haven’t heard of them? Well, you should take note.

Comprising the talents of Riley Harman and Sainesh Kissun, these guys are a house electronic duo out of Geelong with some serious vibes, delivering groovy belters that make you sweat…

Since forming a few years ago, these guys have become regulars on the local DJ circuit, performing at the likes of The Inn Hotel, Uno Danceclub (RIP), Torquay Hotel and the Geelong Hotel, as well as events like Bloom’s famed DISCO 2000 and even Dancing Heads Music Festival.

While the past 18 months have meant less time on the decks at some of Geelong’s greatest nightspots, the duo took advantage of their forced sabbatical by immersing themselves in the studio.

The result is their latest release and their first new music of 2021, with a remix of Kid Cudi’s ‘Day ‘N’ Nite’.

Taking the Cleveland rapper’s famed 2008 melancholic pop-rap track, Coco Du Ma has given it a serious re-work into a club-friendly remix that will define the upcoming summer of 2021.

Coco Du Ma takes the sombre masterpiece, stretch it out, and spin the tune into six minutes of vibrant luxuriousness, refashioning Kid Cudi’s contributions to the original as an inescapable, earwormy mantra that very well may change the way you hear the source material.

Topped with fleeting summer vibes, hypnotic textures, bouncy grooves and infectious progressions, this is one devastating stomping dancefloor epic. Absolute fire.

It’s no easy feat to rework a certified masterpiece, but the result is a triumphant slice of tropical-tinged house music that’s arguably more effective on the floor than the original.

So, the next time you head on a weekend getaway (or pretend to be on one as you work from home), radiate good vibes and hit play on this killer feel-good rework.
