The burger kings are facing a roadblock, forcing them to close their Torquay restaurant.
For those who love a greasy, cheese-filled, dripping with delicious-goodness burger, Boss Burger Co. are probably at the top of your list when it comes to the best burgers in the region.
From humble beginnings on Pakington Street back in 2016, things started on a high and remained there for burger joint owners Tim Harrison, brothers Jamie Kolovos and Jerry Kolovos and John Katos ā as Boss quickly became one of the most popular burger joints in town. Initially featuring four beef burgers (with one for the kids), a chicken burger and a vego burger, Boss Burger Co expanded their menu within the year to include everything from ribs, loaded fried and mac ānā cheese balls to jalapeno poppers.
Dishing out pure, unadulterated deliciousness ever since, the Boss Burger crew have gone on to open six more stores in and around the region, pumping out some damn tasty burgers to Waurn Ponds, Leopold, Torquay, Ballarat, Lara and Colac, alongside their first outerstate store in Tasmania, undoubtedly crowning the Boss team the burger kings.

“It is with great sadness that we let everyone know that unfortunately due to not being able to reach an agreement with our landlord for our store, we have made the very difficult decision to close down our Torquay location as of Sunday the 6th of March” the business said.
“We are so grateful for the continued support, local customers and awesome memories we’ve created with our wonderful team in this location, but it’s time for us to move onto bigger and better things.”
The business went on to say that there are plans for a return to the coast, pending finding another suitable location.
“We will start the hunt for a second Torquay home and plan to be back one day soon, so hit us up of you have any ideas for locations.”
Building a community of burger-loving locals with regular pop-ups, the team opened a venue within Torquay Village a couple of years ago, bringing the coast everything we knew and loved about Geelong’s Boss Burger venues. From their sensational menu and their incredibly friendly, buoyant staff, this became the place to go for the tastiest burgers, ribs and hotdogs on the Surfcoast.
Boss Burger will continue to serve their delicious burgers right up until they close on Sunday, March 6 2022.
