G Flip, Sneaky Sound System, You Am I and more announced for new outdoor concert series in St Kilda

The eight-day concert series will bring Australia’s finest artists to St Kilda this April.

Live Nation has partnered up with Melbourne based independent event producers Pavilion Australia and tastemakers Shadow Electric to further reignite the live music industry in the music capital with an eight-day concert series.

Titled ‘April Sun’, the series will feature a program of headline concerts, mini-festivals, day parties and family programming in the heart of Melbourne’s iconic St Kilda Beach Foreshore.

Running from Thursday, April 15 to Sunday, May 2, April Sun will see St Kilda come alive with Australia’s finest to satisfy the many and varied palates of Melbourne music lovers.

Held in the grounds of the St Kilda Triangle, directly adjacent to The Palais Theatre, April Sun will kicks off with a Future Classic curated evening on April 15 with G FLIP, Touch Sensitive, Sycco and Thomas Headon, before Poof Doof – Australia’s most inclusive dance club – takes over the ground on April 17 with a huge day party with the likes of Sneaky Sound System, Electric Fields, Jawbreakers, Yo!Mafia, Sgt Slick, YUMMY plus so many more epic live acts, DJs and drag superstars to be announced.

The following week will Australian alt-rock royalty take to the stage with a Thursday night lineup featuring You Am I, Magic Dirt, Dallas Crane and The Casanovas, while house and techno Kings, Thick As Thieves, will deliver the best of Melbourne’s underground to raise your vibration on Saturday night (April 24).

Closing out the month, Cosmo’s Midnight will bring St Kilda to life with their pop bathed club anthems, alongside Eves Karydas and ASHWARYA on Thursday, April 29, before Sydney grime rap heavyweight CHILLINIT rolls in for not one, but two epic shows on Friday and Saturday night.

Closing out the series the very next day, Grammy award nominees Hiatus Kaiyote will be joined by some special friends for a Sunday session of wondercore and their brand of progressive neo-soul, including Melbourne DJ and funk synthesist Harvey Sutherland.

Tickets will be on sale for individual purchase with each ticket being allocated to one of four zones so assemble your crew and claim your zone.
