Four wineries join forces for Bellarine Vintage Release Day

The Bellarine is blossoming with the best in Australian wine and four of them are ready to release their vintage collections on the world.

Portarlington-based vineyards Bellarine Estate, Bennetts on Bellarine, Hounds of the Vine and Kilgour Wines are teaming up to showcase their vintage creations for one day at the 2024 Bellarine Vintage Release Day.

After the success of last year’s inaugural collaborative event, the 2024 Bellarine Vintage Release Day will see the wineries host four sessions to showcase their special range.

Just a quick 25 minutes from Geelong and 90 minutes from Melbourne, or a brief Searoad Ferry from the Mornington Peninsula, Bellarine Estate, Bennetts on Bellarine, Hounds of the Vine and Kilgour Wines all sit in a quick 5-minute round trip from each other, perfect for those wanting to take full advantage of the exclusive one-off tastings on offer. With a courtesy Hop On Hop Off bus running between the wineries all day, there is no excuse not to treat the palette.

“It’s a unique chance to experience the unique terroir of Bellarine Peninsula wines, whilst mingling with fellow wine enthusiasts and the talented winemakers behind these exceptional labels”, says James Kenny, Bellarine Estate’s General Manager and spearhead of this collaborative event.

“The buses will be running every 30 minutes between the participating four winery venues, ensuring guests can truly indulge in the day without having to worry about transport”, says Kenny.

Perfectly poised to take advantage of the maritime climate, the 2024 Bellarine Vintage Release Day will showcase exceptional releases of Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Chardonnay that the Victorian peninsula is renowned for- with Bellarine Estate winery showcasing their Shiraz, Pinot and Chardonnays. Kilgour Wines will be featuring their freshly bottled 2024 Rose and 2024 Pinot Gris, with Hounds of the Vine showcasing their 2024 Rose, 2024 Pinot Grigio, 2023 Pinot Noir and the 2024 Campania – with Bennetts on Bellarine championing Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Riesling and Chardonnay.

Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or a novice, the 2024 Bellarine Vintage Release Day has something for everyone on the white to red scale, and will also feature live entertainment at both Bellarine Estate and Bennetts on Bellarine. The cheap as chips $45 day pass includes the entertainment, four free tastings at each of the four wineries and bus transfers.
