A massive open-air music festival is heading to the Geelong Waterfront

Cosmo's Midnight

The iconic Cunningham Pier will be transformed into a festive oasis in March.

Labour Day 2022 might still be a good month away, but it’s worth marking in your diary right now, especially with this ambitious new event from the team at Coastal Jam

After a tonne of sold-out one-day events over the past year alone bringing the likes of Stace Cadet, Spacey Space, Set Mo, What So Not, Anna Lunoe, Jordan Brando, and Human Movement to the region, Coastal Jam has upped the ante for the March long weekend with a massive open-air music festival on Geelong’s Waterfront, bringing along some of the finest names in the Australian dance and electronic movement.

The key takeaways

  • Coastal Jam returns to Geelong for Labour Day Eve with a massive open-air music festival
  • For the first time ever, the event will take over the entirety of Cunningham Pier
  • Cosmo’s Midnight, Crooked Colours, Lovebirds and Fleetmac Wood lead the lineup

Keep up with the latest festival news via our website.

Hosted by UNO Presents and Coastal Jam and supported by the City of Greater Geelong through the Arts & Culture Arts Industry Commissions, the event will take over Geelong’s Pier on Labour Day Eve (Sunday, March 13) and will see the likes of the electronic duo and twin brothers Cosmo’s Midnight (DJ Set), alternative dance kings Crooked Colours (DJ Set), Lovebirds – solo project of Hamburg resident Sebastian Döring,  DJ collective Fleetmac Wood, Coastal Jam veteran DJ and producer Dean Turnley,  local house electronic duo Coco Du Ma and Zoë, all bringing the beats to the oceanside day and night party.

Dubbed ‘one of the most ambitious events hosted in Geelong’, for the first time ever Coastal Jam will take over the entirety of Cunningham Pier. That’s thousands of festival-goers on a heritage-listed site 200M out in the big dip on Geelong’s iconic foreshore for a 360° view of the bay with the highest calibre of talent and production on display. If we’re talking scenes, this will be one you’ll remember.

With such a killer set-up and a first for the regional city, this event is also destined to sell out quickly… and judging from the demand of all their previous editions, it probably will.

You wouldn’t want these tickets to slip through your hands this time, because this is definitely not one to be missed! You can sign up to pre-sale access via their Facebook page to gain access to tickets on Monday, February 7 from 9am. General Release tickets then go on sale on Tuesday February 8 from 9am.

As a bonus, $1 from each ticket is donated to ocean preservation charity #TeamSeas. Each dollar donated is 1 pound of trash removed from the ocean. How good!

Whether you’ve got plans for the long weekend or not, it’s best to clear the calendar for this event.

It all goes down at The Pier, Geelong on Sunday, March 13 2022. Find out more information here.
