Encore Career Training Session is the new project supporting and empowering women returning to the Music Industry

Expressions of interest are now open.

Are you a Victorian woman or gender non-conforming person in any music industry role, whether creative or behind the scenes?

Are you planning a career break? Do you need to step back from your work and are unsure what lays ahead? Are you on a career break and set to return to work? Are you expecting a child and are unsure about how your career might develop from here?

Delivered in partnership between RMIT, APRA AMCOS, the VMDO and the Australian Music Centre, The Encore Project has put together a free training package to get you (or someone you know!) on the right track. The initiative has been designed to help facilitate the re-entry of women and GNC people into the music workforce.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around the region here.

With training sessions in Melbourne, Geelong and online, the sessions intend to help participants understand what resources and services are available to you to help you in taking a break and returning to work; assess likely challenges and opportunities that you may face in your journey; gain confidence in voicing experiences and seeking feedback on issues that you may face, such as job-seeking, juggling work and family, and staying connected with the music industry; and develop a support network through connecting with other workers attending the training session and through dedicated social media channels.

All training sessions are free, and participants attending the Geelong-based training session may be eligible to have their travel costs reimbursed.
