Emilia Trio at Pistol Pete’s

Sunday afternoon at Pistol Pete’s, a young woman takes a deep breath and a strong clear voice cries out “Aaat last” and that song made famous by Etta James swells and fills the room.
This is Emilia Schnall, performing as the Emilia Trio with Steve playing a top jazz guitar line and Dave on bass.
She does both standards and original pieces, and has been writing and arranging for many years.
Her writing skills got a boost when she attended a workshop run by the New York Juilliard School when they visited Australia.
She often plays the Melbourne jazz venues as a quintet, but hopefully will be back in Geelong soon.
Her debut single “Feel” is out at the end of the month. From Pistol Pete’s she is off to the Ubud Musical festival in Indonesia.
