Earth, Wind and Fire at Geelong After Dark

Geelong After Dark – Geelong’s biggest celebration of arts – will be happening once again this year with what is set to be the biggest event so far, going down tonight on May 4 between 6:00pm and 11:00pm. The theme of this years event is Earth.
As part of the celebration, Award Winning Pianist, Composer and Producer Callum Watson has written an exciting new classical composition for the event called ‘Earth, Wind and Fire’ for piccolo and bass clarinet.
This is the first time Watson will be bringing his brand of chamber music to this area and so has written the piece with the Geelong and Surf Coast music audience in mind, making it highly accessible with moments of extreme virtuosity and and moments of sublime beauty.
This will be performed by two of Victorias top young classical soloists: Jessica Zuk (piccolo) and Joel Hands-Otte (bass clarinet) who are coming from across Victoria especially for the event.
Earth Wind and Fire will be performed between 6:30pm and 8:00pm on the night.
CDs will be available for purchase at the performance.
Echoes of Earth can also be purchased online at callumwatson.com.au
