The massive all-ages event presented by The Push aims to give young people the opportunity to experience live music in a safe and accessible way.
Sidney Myer Music Bowl’s Live at the Bowl concert series has been a revelation since its arrival in 2021, reinvigorating Melbourne’s live music scene with a host of stellar COVID-safe gigs in the beloved open-air arena.
After the huge success of last year’s sold-out Live at the Bowl show, Arts Centre Melbourne has once again teamed up with Australian youth music not-for-profit organisation The Push to curate another epic all-ages event, welcoming the likes of Dune Rats, Beddy Rays and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers to the Bowl on Sunday, April 10.
Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.
Across one Melbourne afternoon with performances kicking off from 2pm, punters can get around Riot Grrrl-era energy from Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, summer festival vibes from Beddy Rays before finishing with a punchy and engaging headline set by Dune Rats who are fresh from polling #49 on this year’s triple j Hottest 100 with ‘Up’ and dropping their latest single, ‘What A Memorable Night’.
“After staging an epic sold-out show at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in 2021, The Push is stoked to be continuing our partnership with Arts Centre Melbourne again this year,” says The Push CEO Kate Duncan.
“Now more than ever we need to be giving all ages audiences the opportunity to experience live music in a safe and accessible way. We can’t wait to get back out there with thousands of young people again in April.”
Curated with the help of the All-Ages Live at the Bowl Events Team – a committee of the next generation of music industry professionals – this event gives young people the opportunity to experience live music at a low cost in a drug and alcohol-free environment. So round up the crew, your siblings, cousins and more for the biggest all-ages concert of the year.
While the lineup is already top-notch, The Push is dedicated to supporting young, local and emerging artists and will also be looking for a Victorian high-school-aged artist to join the line-up. This will give young people the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl for the first time. If you are aged 15 – 17 and play in a band or as a solo act, apply for this not-to-be-missed opportunity here.
This is an all-ages, drug, alcohol, and smoke free event. Attendees under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dune Rats Live at the Bowl takes place on Sunday, April 10 2022. Tickets to The Push all-ages event will be on sale Thursday 17 February, 10am here.
