Off the back of a 100% sold-out national tour in 2018 as well as a sold-out regional Western Australian tour in the middle of 2019, Aussie hip hop artist Drapht is back with a massive 16-date Australian tour which will feature his full live show plus a travelling circus of friends on the road to help with Drapht’s never-ending list of certified hits including, Jimmy Recard, Rapunzel, Don Quixote, Mexico, to name a few.
Following a whirlwind 10 years, we’ve seen Drapht go from releasing his number one – platinum-selling – ARIA award-winning album ‘The Life of Riley’; to taking some time out to reignite his passion for music by becoming a restauranteur in Perth; only to return five years later with yet another ARIA award receiving record ‘Seven Mirrors’.
Drapht’s latest offering ‘Summer They Say’ is another example of how Paul Reid, the person behind Drapht constantly pushes himself and boundaries and becoming a better songwriter, while forever staying true to his classic upbeat signature sound, witty, well-thought-out lyrics and effortless fluid-like flow that his legion of fans know him all too well for. With co-production from Melbourne’s own rising star Hamely and featuring a group effort from his All Star Perth band mates Indoor Fins & Morgan Bain on chorus vocal duties, this tune is yet another example of why Drapht continues to be at the forefront of the ever-evolving genre.
Catch him at The Barwon Club, Geelong – Friday November 15. Tickets on sale September 5, 8am. Stay up to date via the FB event page.
