This captivating live stage production promises a fun, affordable, and nostalgic school holiday experience for families, as it tours Melbourne from Thursday, 18th January 2024, landing in Geelong on Saturday, 20th January.

Credited as the world’s leading rendition of this beloved children’s classic, the live show dives into Dr. Seuss’s early philosophies in phonetic learning and the science of sound. With over 300 critically acclaimed performances in 60 cities globally, the production has already won the hearts of 150,000 people and counting.

Transforming the colourful and creative world of Dr. Seuss into a full-scale set with over 70 original props and costumes, “The Cat in the Hat” live production offers a unique and immersive way for children to disconnect from technology. Beyond the enchanting tale of mischief and imagination, it explores moral concepts of trust, responsibility, social expectations, and honesty.

Initially adapted for the stage in 2009 by the National Theatre of Britain, the play unfolds the mischievous escapades of two siblings, Sally and Sam, on a rainy day when an unexpected guest, the Cat in the Hat, pays them a visit.
