Legendary US rock band Dinosaur Jr. make their return to Australia and New Zealand for a series of headline shows in February and March 2024.
Iconic US alt-rockers Dinosaur Jr. are responding to the fervent demand from down under by adding a second Melbourne show to their highly anticipated Australia & New Zealand tour this February and March. The news comes alongside the announcement of a Frontier Member presale starting today at 12 pm.
The band, marking 30 years since the release of their pivotal album, 1993’s ‘Where You Been,’ is set to rock audiences in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, and Auckland. The newly added Melbourne show at Northcote Theatre on Saturday 17 February joins the previously scheduled show on Friday 16 February.

The tour kicks off in Melbourne, showcasing their timeless hits like ‘Start Choppin’,’ ‘Out There,’ and ‘Get Me.’ With the added date, Dinosaur Jr. is prepared to deliver two unforgettable nights at Northcote Theatre, followed by shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth, wrapping up the tour with a grand finale at Auckland Town Hall on Saturday 2 March.
Frontman J Mascis is set to perform solo shows in Sydney on Tuesday 20 February at Liberty Hall and Brisbane on Saturday 24 February at The Triffid.
Joining Dinosaur Jr. on their Australian dates is local band Stepmother, while Auckland-based trio Office Dog will share the stage for the Auckland show.
