Dial up the heat with this local venue’s newest menu item, ‘Ring of Fire’ hot wings

The Hop Inn have spread their wings and added a brand new flavour.

Chicken wings are one of life’s greatest joys. Whether you like them extra crispy, dripping in sauce or so hot you break into a sweat, chicken wings are the actual best.

One venue around town that’s earned themselves a solid reputation for their wings offerings over the past year is the much-loved Hop Inn out in Mt Duneed.

Having just announced the return of live music and a new outdoor marquee for winter, the legends out at the Hop Inn refuse to slow down and have just dropped a brand new menu, launching only last week.

While they’ve added a bunch of delicious new items (charcuterie boards, pan-seared salmon, poutine chips, Philly cheesesteak burger, apple pie and ice cream, and red wine braised beef cheek to name a few, plus the return of the Hendrix pizza), it’s the addition of another chicken wing flavour that’s caught our eye.

Dubbed the ‘Ring of Fire’, these are the Hop Inn’s take on extremely hot wings, upping the ante from their already fiery Highway to Hell sauce, also known as melt-your-tongue-off hot.

It’s the perfect meal for those who are no stranger to the hotter things in life. The hot wings are accompanied with your choice of ranch sauce or blue cheese sauce and celery sticks that do an excellent job at providing relief from that smokin’ hot flavour.

For those who aren’t so into chilli, don’t stress, they’ve still got their traditional buffalo and smoked bbq wings on the menu too.

If you’re tempted to give these babies a whirl and you’re not afraid of a challenge, you can get one kilogram of hot, crispy wings slathered in your choice sauce for only $16 on Wednesday nights – that’s 400 more grams than usual at no extra cost.

Grab a napkin, because things are going to get sticky.

Find The Hop Inn at 611-621 Surf Coast Hwy, Mount Duneed. Bookings are essential to avoid disappointment due to limited capacities currently still enforced. These can be made via the website.
