With a sound reminiscent of the new wave sound of the late seventies and early eighties, Melbourne’s Destrends is the combinations of the Savage brothers, Matt and Nathan, and Billy Watts, son of the late Robbie ‘Rocket’ Watts, he of the Cosmic Psychos.
The band has an EP in the works which is set for release later in the year, but first they are thrilled to welcome the single ‘Papa’. Matt: “The song is about the time I ruined family Christmas … It’s also about finding your identity and learning when to shut your mouth.”
