A one-stop-shop for doughy treats with familiar combinations and surprising twists, this is one of the main reasons to go down to Portarlington! Augustus Gelatery
While the weather is certainly cooling down, there’s always time to get a cone of something soft, cold and delicious, with the sticky remains on your fingers for hours. Augustus Gelatery has you covered with 36 different kinds of the Italian treat, including all your favourites and some unique ones that you’ve just gotta try. Cotton Candy, fig and almond, espresso, bacio, tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake, and choc hazelnut fudge just to name a few. We can promise you’ll transport yourself to Italy with just one lick no matter what you decide. You’ll also find a number of sorbet options (mango, strawberry, lemon, dark chocolate), as well as some delectable vegan options which include peanut butter and jelly, coconut and mango, pistachio, and salted caramel. Okay so this one’s more of a takeaway destination, but a destination nonetheless… and we simply cannot go past the particularly indulgent, cheesy masterpieces from The Cheesecake Shop. With two stores in Geelong, one in Leopold and one in Belmont, you’ll find a number of enticing creations like blueberry cheesecake, wild strawberry cheesecake, a French glaze vanilla continental cheesecake, wildberry baked cheesecake, Mississippi baked cheesecake and the holy grail of dessert with an American baked cheesecake. Your grandmother will have to forgive us, but it truly is the best cheesecake. From the traditional classics to the outrageously wicked, there’s a cheesecake (and even some non-cheesy desserts) for every tastebud, for every occasion, and unapologetically, even every day.
